I’m listening to En Saga. What a great piece. It’s a Sibelius tone poem.
This early evening, I played guitar for Michael Wartofsky’s wedding at the Union Club on Park Street overlooking Boston Common. We played arrangements of “Defying Gravity” from Wicked, “Ready for Love” by India.Arie, “Possibilities” a piece from MIchael’s musical, The Navigator, “Love You I Do” from Dreamgirls, “No One Quite Like You”– Michael’s personal statement to Imitiyaz, his huband, and “Love Has Fallen On Me” by Chaka Khan.
Afterwards, there was a cocktail hour. I hung out with Michael Gottlieb and Halley Feaster and went to Uno’s on Huntington.
Mrs. D will be playing Harvard on October 30 for an event sponsored by the Harvard QSA. It’s all marvelously exciting. This is THE gig that we are all looking forward to this summer.
Tomorrow, I ought to go into the Groove and finish some articles for our online debut– Berkleegroove.com. I have articles about Berklee bands including Merry-Go-Round and The Blue Pages, as well as some other topics that need a-finishin.
Okay, good night, world.
